Find forgiveness when no-one understands your pain
Find forgiveness when pain, anger and/or fear has become part of your identity.
Finding forgiveness will allow you to grieve the person you are angry with.
Forgiveness will allow you to grieve your old identity and transition to be the person you want to be.
Find forgiveness when your mind and heart says no but your soul craves freedom.
Find forgiveness as a way to find peace, to find the authentic you that's been covered up by fear.
Find forgiveness so you can remove the wall you built and see the world from a new set of eyes and a heart full of hope.
With forgiveness comes clarity.
Release the pain and sadness by taking responsibility for holding onto the emotions and not working through them.
Take the time to feel - To feel is to heal.
Find a connection to the pain and sadness and use it as a tool to start the forgiveness process - What are you truly angry about? Is my anger realistic? Will it matter to me in 3 weeks? 3 months? What role did I play in this situation? What is it here to teach me? What changes do I need to make? What do I need to work through?
Healing and forgiveness take time- don't rush or set up expectations.
Forgive for you and you only!
Forgive others but most importantly forgive yourself.
